Latchford Albion 4 Halton Simms Cross 24

A FREE weekend has come at a good time for Latchford Albion after they fell to a third consecutive defeat on Saturday.

A clinical Halton Simms Cross outfit took their chances at Victoria Park after the early stages looked promising for Albion.

The ball was moved quickly along the line to create space for Adam Wadsworth to cross out wide for the game’s first try after just five minutes.

However, that was as good as it got for the hosts as Simms Cross saw out a period of pressure to go into half time 12-4 up.

Latchford again had plenty of possession after the break but failed to make it count as the visitors resisted before exploiting a tired defence.

Things do not get easier for Martyn Ellis’ side, who travel to unbeaten Blackbrook next on Saturday, April 27.
