RUMOURS of Warrington Wolves centre Bryson Goodwin returning to South Sydney are thought to be wide of the mark.
Some reports in the Australian media had touted the New Zealand international for a move back to the Rabbitohs as a replacement for Greg Inglis, who is thought to be considering retirement.
However, the Guardian has been told The Wire have had no contact from the NRL giants about Goodwin, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury.

Wire chief executive Karl Fitzpatrick confirmed discussions were ongoing with the 33-year-old about an extension to his contract, which is due to expire in November.
"We have had no contact from Souths, with whom we have a great relationship," he said.
"The news took me a bit by surprise as we are in the middle of discussions about a potential extension with Bryson."
