Liverpool Collegiate u15 5 Warrington u15 48
BY beating the team they overcame in last year’s final, Warrington’s under 15s are one win away from the Lancashire Cup.
An ultimately clinical performance saw them see off Liverpool Collegiate, going in at half-time 14-5 up despite having two players sin-binned.
They streaked away in the second half, with Rorio Zheng finishing with two tries to go with further efforts from Jude Lightfoot, Owen Hemmings, Leo Zheng, Jack Bailey and Charlie Bancroft.
"We have three half-backs and each controlled their pod perfectly, creating line-breaks in attack,” coach Danny Johnstone said.
“The whole team – in particular the forwards – worked exceptionally hard for each other in defence against a well-drilled pack."
Warrington will contest the final on Sunday, April 28, against as-yet-unknown opponents.
