TOMMY Lineham says his teammates and coaches were a huge factor in him extending his contract with Warrington Wolves.

The 26-year-old winger joined fellow England Knights internationals Joe Philbin and Toby King in signing terms to stay primrose and blue until the end of 2021.

"I’m really enjoying my time here so far," said Lineham, who joined from Hull FC ahead of the 2016 campaign.

"It’s a great organisation and a great club to be at, from the playing group right through to the coaching staff and the backroom staff.

"I get on really well with everyone and I feel very comfortable here.

"I think you’ve got to have good relationships with your teammates and your coaching staff and I’ve got that here, which is really important on a day-to-day basis.

"I feel like I know them now and they know me and we can get the best out of each other.

"And with the playing group that we’ve got it’s so competitive and there’s healthy competition right across the board.

"It keeps you on your toes and you know that you’ve got to be at your best each week or else you could be on the sidelines for a bit.

"So I really love it here and I’m really looking forward to the next few years.

"I feel the club is going in the right direction with the main goal of winning as many trophies as we can.

"In recent years we’ve failed at the final hurdle but I’m very confident that we can lift some silverware and there’s plenty of joy ahead at Warrington Wolves."

Philbin and King both came through the club's academy ranks.

Warringtonian prop Philbin said on signing his new deal: "I’ve been at this club since I was 15.

"It’s my hometown club and to be honest it wasn’t a big decision at all.

"I’m buzzing to just get it out of the way so I can start enjoying my rugby again and not having it hanging over my head.

"We’ve got a really good squad and some quality players who are missing out at the minute. I’m sure they’ll all get their opportunity but it’s exciting times.

"We just need to keep our heads down, keep working hard and hopefully the good times will come."

King added: "I’m really excited about the future to be playing at Warrington and it was an easy decision.

"Steve Price has put a lot into the club and he spoke about how much he wanted to keep me here so that was a big thing and I’m really looking forward to continuing to play under Pricey.

"I’ve got a load of mates here now and I feel as though we’re building something special so I just want to be a part of it.”
