BLOSSOMING rowers have been hailed as 'inspirational' by their teacher.
Sir Thomas Boteler High School quartet Eliza Fox, Jonah Holland, Iffy Marinos and Tom Gilmore were among the Warrington Youth Rowing group to impress in the National Indoor Championships in London.
“We are so proud as a school of what our young people have achieved at this tournament," said Kerry Hayes, Boteler’s head of year seven who assists in coaching the rowers.
"It shows what you can accomplish with dedication and hard work; and these students have certainly worked hard. They are an inspiration to us all.”
Eliza, Jonah and Iffy came first in their heats.
Overall, Iffy came fourth out of 129 year 10 girls, Jonah came 17th out of 158 year nine boys and Tom Gilmore, who was second in his heat, came 10th out of 172 year eight boys.
