JOSH Charnley and Jack Hughes have been named in England’s 30-man Elite Performance Squad (EPS)

The pair join four of their Warrington Wolves teammates in Wayne Bennett’s Super League-only squad that will meet for the first time next month.

Charnley is rewarded for his stellar form since returning to rugby league with The Wire last year while Hughes’ performances and leadership on England Knights’ tour of Papua New Guinea caught Bennett’s eye.

Ben Currie is also included having recovered from a second serious knee injury while Wire teammates Chris Hill, Daryl Clark and Stefan Ratchford are all included.

However, there is no place for prop Mike Cooper.

The Knights Performance Squad - which could also feature several Warrington players - will be announced tomorrow.
