WARRINGTON Wolves are planning to be without Ben Westwood for Thursday's trip to Wakefield Trinity.

The veteran forward was sent off after appearing to headbutt Wigan Warriors back Morgan Escare as part of a mass brawl during The Wire's 25-12 win on Friday which also saw teammate Declan Patton and the Warriors' Willie Isa sin-binned.

The outcome of the Match Review Panel's findings is not yet known, but Westwood is expected to be handed a ban.

Price says the incident was not in Westwood's nature but accepts he may be without the 37-year-old for some time.

"I’m planning to be without the big fella this weekend. How much longer we’ll be without him I’m not sure yet," he said.

"It was one of those things where he thinks he got clipped, turned around and retaliated.

"He plays the game hard and tough but that’s not in Ben’s nature."

Price confirmed there are no new injuries in the Warrington camp ahead of the trip to the Mobile Rocket Stadium but Bryson Goodwin is not yet fit to return from an ankle injury.
