Latchford Albion 34 Ulverston 28
SATURDAY’s pulsating game at Victoria Park may well provide a glimpse into the future for Latchford Albion.
Jake Foulkes and Matty Nash – two of the club’s under 18s players – shone, with the former setting up a try for the latter in the victory over Ulverston.
Nash finished with two tries in Albion’s first home game under new head coach Martyn Ellis, with Jake Ashton, Chris Griffiths and Troy Holcroft also crossing.
Lewis Johnston also contributed a try along with five conversions as Latchford came out on top in a points-fest.
Albion are at home again on Saturday as Hindley are the visitors to Victoria Park, kick off 2.30pm.
