Wigan St Cuthberts 42 Latchford Albion 4
NEW head coach Martyn Ellis saw his Latchford Albion side make a nightmare start to the new season on Saturday.
Albion were still in the game at the break as they trailed 8-0, but the impressive hosts were clinical in the second half to put Latchford to the sword.
Morgan Nicholas crossed for Albion’s only try on a difficult afternoon which saw under 18s players Matthew Nash and Jack Foulkes make their first-team debuts and prop Fraser Jones-Lake play the full 80 minutes.
Ellis’ side will hope to bounce back in their first home game of 2019 on Saturday which sees Ulverston visit Victoria Park, kick off 2.30pm.
