RYLANDS White Sharks under 11s have played their part in the effort to save Widnes Vikings from liquidation.

They travelled the short distance to play their counterparts from Widnes Moorfield and took part in a pitchside collection that raised £100 for the stricken Championship club.

For good measure, Rylands won an entertaining game 24-22.

Kyle Best picked up a try and six goals while Corey Richardson Nickle, Declan Houghton, Jack Jamieson and Tom Ridge also helped Rovers pass the half-century mark.

TWO tries and five goals led Jack Darbyshire to the man of the match award as Rovers swept to victory.

James Hartill added a try and a goal, with further tries coming from Marley Noel Kennedy, Ash Barnes, Charlie Bancroft, Mike Butler, Rorio Zheng, Leo Zheng, Christian Piazza and Owen Hemmings.

JAKE Rogerson crossed twice for Woolston, with Danny Rowlands adding a try and a goal to go with another four-pointer from Ben Godfrey.

Bank Quay Bulls u13 v Rylands Sharks u13 - match abandoned

JAKUB Krys, Callum Sharp and Charlie Yeomans were Rylands’ tryscorers against neighbours Bank Quay, with Thomas Ashurst adding two conversions.

Latchford Giants u12 0 Rylands Tiger Sharks u12 36

TWO tries each from Rio Paget, Jordan Barnes and Harley McKean helped the Tiger Sharks to victory, with Ellis Bedford scoring their other try. Ryan Caley and Ryan Snelson added two goals each.

Chester Gladiators u12 0 Woolston Rovers Gold u12 8

ETHAN Jones and Finn Atkinson scored tries as Rovers won a low-scoring contest away from home.

TAYLOR Forster’s double and a try each from William Millar, Sam Cain Lewis and Louie Stephenson helped Woolston to victory against neighbours Crosfields.
