JORDAN Callum’s brace helped Warrington Hockey Club’s men’s first team stage a stunning comeback to earn a draw at Formby.
It looked as if it was not going to be Warrington’s day as their attacking efforts were thwarted while Formby took their chances to move into a 3-0 lead with just 10 minutes to go.
However, Callum’s stunning strike got the fightback off the ground before Richard Cook finished from a short corner to set up a grandstand finish.
Callum was the hero again with another fine effort to secure an unlikely 3-3 draw.
Elsewhere, the women’s firsts beat a tenacious Rhyl side, with Steph Rawlins scoring both goals in a 2-0 victory.
Both second teams were beaten, with the men losing 2-1 to Deeside Ramblers and the women falling to a heavy 5-0 defeat at Chester.
