WARRINGTON Town have received some good news regarding winger Jack Mackreth’s injury – and he could be back in action sooner than expected.
The wideman has had successful surgery on the fractured jaw and cheekbone he suffered in the 3-0 win over Grantham Town on January 26.

It was feared Mackreth may miss the rest of the season, but the Guardian can reveal no further operations are required on the injury.
Mackreth’s recovery time is now anticipated to be a matter of weeks rather than months, meaning he should still be able to play a part in Yellows’ push for promotion to the National League North.
