WARRINGTON Town Netball Club saw their winning run come to an end at the hands of a strong Oldham side on Saturday.

Going into the final quarter of their trip to one of the region’s top clubs, Warrington trailed by 12 goals but showed admirable resolve in the game’s final stages.

They put their second-place hosts on the back foot before eventually going down to a 56-50 defeat.

Centre Elena Fode took home Warrington’s player of the match award while the defensive duo of goalkeeper Maria Makin and goal defence Emily Hull shared the coach’s player prize.

Despite their four-match winning run ending, Warrington remain fourth in the North West Netball Premier Division ahead of a home game against Dominoes on Saturday.
