AGAINST a side containing three England under 19s players, Warrington Town Netball Club were able to bounce back from last week’s loss with a victory.

They came into the game off the back of a devastating defeat at Deeside, but they responded in the best possible way with a 48-44 win over Tameside.

Warrington were six goals up after the first quarter, with the visitors unable to claw the deficit back.

Courtney Perks picked up the player of the match award, while Elena Fordes won the players’ player vote after playing through a bad cold.

Warrington are fifth in the North West Regional Premier League ahead of Saturday’s home match against YWCA Bury – their final game before the league takes a break over Christmas.
