JAKE Kirby's loan with Warrington Town has been extended, the club have confirmed.
The Guardian can reveal that the forward will remain at Cantilever Park for the remainder of December.
Kirby, who has scored twice for Yellows since signing at the end of September, was initially expected to return to parent club Stockport County after his loan spell expired following Saturday's 2-0 win at Marine.
However, the National League North side have agreed to let the 22-year-old remain at Warrington up to and including their trip to Basford United on December 29.
The news comes as a boost to manager Paul Carden as he now has an extra body to count on going into the Christmas period.
