WARRINGTON Town will have an extra game over the Christmas period after one of their existing games was rearranged.

Yellows will travel to Basford United on Saturday, December 29, with the game kicking off at 3pm.

Paul Carden’s side were due to head to the Nottingham-based side on February 2, but the Evo-Stik League have confirmed the game has been brought forward.

This will be the second of three games over the Christmas period for Town, sandwiched between a Boxing Day trip to neighbours Witton Albion and a home game against Bamber Bridge on New Year’s Day.

Yellows and Basford drew 1-1 at Cantilever Park when the sides met on October 17, when Jack Mackreth’s opener being cancelled out by Stefan Galinski.
