HAYDEN James has been named Warrington Man of Steel at an awards dinner put on by the Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation.
The Crosfields hooker was in stunning form as his side reached the National Conference League Division Two play-offs, and that was enough for him to beat off competition from Woolston Rovers duo Harry Files and Niall Toher for the open-age award.
Representatives from each of the town’s seven amateur clubs gathered at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday, with one person from each club picking up a Community Hero award.
Man of Steel prizes were given in every age category down to under 12s, while there were also awards for the best high school and touch rugby teams among others.
