DATEN made it back-to-back Cheshire Football League victories on Saturday by impressively seeing off Premier Division leaders Middlewich Town.

Jack Nolan scored twice for the Atoms at Charnock Road, with Daniel Clarke also on target in a 3-2 victory for Paul Anderson’s side.

Their win gave third-place neighbours Eagle Sports the chance to leapfrog Middlewich in the table.

However, they did not take their opportunity as they saw their eight-game unbeaten run ended at Egerton.

Chris Quirk and Richard Chinn were on the scoresheet for Eagle, but they slipped to a 3-2 defeat.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Greenalls PSO faced Whaley Bridge Athletic for the second time in a week.

Like their previous meeting, Saturday’s clash at Long Lane ended in a draw as Greens fought back from 2-0 down.

Ben McWilliams and Ellis Houghton pulled them level before Whaley took the lead again with five minutes left, but Houghton doubled his tally to ensure a 3-3 draw.

In League One, goals from Liam McLoughlin and Stefan Bell earned Orford a 2-0 win at Windle Labour, but Moore United and Grappenhall Sports were not so successful.

Moore were hammered 4-0 at league leaders Broadheath Central while Grappenhall lost 2-0 at Ford Motors.

Rylands’ reserves could not be separated from their counterparts from Cheadle Heath Nomads in League Two, with the sides playing out a 1-1 draw.
