IT is hoped plenty of new fans will be in attendance for Warrington Town’s clash with Basford United this afternoon.

Warrington Guardian:

For those who may not have been to a Yellows game this season – or have not been following their progress – here are four players to keep an eye on:

> DAVE RAVEN (Defender)

YELLOWS’ run of 15 hours without conceding a league goal earlier this season coincided with Raven’s introduction to the team.

Alongside captain Mark Roberts in the heart of the Warrington defence, Raven provides a calming influence that comes with his vast experience.

Having played in the Football League for Carlisle United and Shrewsbury Town among others, Raven has also played in the Scottish Premiership with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

> BEN GARRITY (Midfielder)

IN a summer of impressive recruitment, Garrity has perhaps been the most impressive find.

He was recommended to Yellows boss Paul Carden while playing for Lower Breck in the Liverpool County Premier League, but he has taken to the step up like a duck to water.

His energy and anticipation can often make it feel like Town have an extra body in midfield.

> JACK MACKRETH (Winger)

ONE thing that stands out about Mackreth is his raw, unadulterated pace.

That alone makes him a massive threat to defences, and he started his Yellows career with a bang by scoring four goals in his first five appearances.

Things have slown down since then, but expect to see him blazing a trail up the right wing.

> TONY GRAY (Striker)

GRAY is Warrington’s top goalscorer having found the net eight times in all competitions this season.

Goals are just one part of his arsenal, however, as he can often be found dropping in between midfield and attack to link up play.

An impressive career has even see him play in the Europa League during his spell in Welsh football.
