TWO Warrington-born players helped Wales become the 10th team to qualify for the Rugby League World Cup in 2021.
Gavin Bennion and Jake Emmitt steered John Kear’s side to a decisive 40-8 victory over Ireland in Wrexham on Sunday.
Salford forward Bennion, a product of Latchford Albion, Rylands Sharks and Warrington Wolves academy, was among the try scorers.
Toronto Wolfpack prop Emmitt, a former Lymm High School pupil, came off the bench for a Wales side that also included ex-Warrington Wolves players Rhys Williams and Ben Evans, who were both among the scorers.
