RYLANDS continue apace at the top of the North West Counties League First Division South.

Saturday’s 3-0 victory at Eccleshall was their fourth clean sheet in a row and extended their unbeaten run to seven games in all competitions.

They lead the division by a point from Wythenshawe Amateurs having played a game more after first-half goals from Liam Moran, Gary Kenny and Jay White proved enough for victory.

White was also on the scoresheet in Tuesday night’s Liverpool County FA Senior Cup visit to Ashton Town.

He scored twice, while Rylands’ other goal came via an Ashton defender as the game finished 3-3 after 90 minutes.

However, Blues triumphed 4-2 on penalties to progress.

Cup competitions will continue to be their focus as they welcome Cheadle Heath Nomads to Gorsey Lane in the Macron Sports Cup on Saturday, kick off 2pm.
