BOTH of Warrington Hockey Club’s first teams were the beneficiaries of late equalisers to ensure a share of the spoils.
The men had Adam Garrod’s strike from a short corner to thank for their 1-1 draw at Leyland & Chorley as they found themselves trailing despite having the better of the play.
It was a similar story for the women against Timperley’s thirds as they were rescued by Emma McCue’s leveller shortly before full time.
The women’s seconds conceded four quickfire goals against Timperley’s fourths as they fell to a 5-1 defeat despite Sally Froggatt’s goal, while the men’s seconds were beaten 4-1 by Neston with Chris Ashworth on the scoresheet for Warrington.
