CUP action took centre stage for the vast majority of our Cheshire League teams on Saturday afternoon.
Premier Division sides Eagle Sports and Daten had distinctly mixed fortunes in the JB Parker Challenge Cup.
A goal from Chris Quirk was enough to ensure Eagle progressed by beating Denton Town 1-0 at Thornton Road, but Daten could not follow them into the next round as they went down 2-0 at home to Pilkington.
League One side Orford had a Daniel Wilcock hat-trick to thank for their JA Walton Cup thrashing of Holmes Chapel Hurricanes. Luke Pollock and Brad Gallagher also scored in their 5-0 victory away from home.
Grappenhall Sports were in League One action, but slipped to defeat as Winstanley Warriors came away with a 2-0 victory.
