RICHARD Brodie has left Warrington Town, manager Paul Carden has confirmed.

The much-travelled striker was sent off having come on as a second-half substitute in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Marine and that has proved to be his final contribution in a Yellows shirt.

Brodie scored twice during his spell with Yellows but Carden confirmed he is now seeking pastures new.

With Tony Gray currently struggling with a hamstring injury, the Town boss said he may be on the look-out for reinforcements in attack.

“Richard Brodie’s left us. He said he wanted to play more football,” he said.

“That’s him done, so we’re possibly in the market for another forward.”

It is hoped Gray, who missed the Marine game and last night’s Integro League Cup defeat to Runcorn Linnets, will be fit to return for Saturday’s trip to Consett in the FA Cup second qualifying round.

Left-back Adam Hughes is likely to be available once again for the trip to County Durham after returning to training following a hamstring problem of his own.
