WARRIORS of Warrington Swimming Club have retained the Bolton and District Mini League silverware.
After competing in the competition all year, they aced the final at Bolton One at the weekend.
Warriors, with 134 points, finished 42pts clear of joint nearest rivals Horwich and Bolton SC, while Atherton and Leigh were fourth, Pioneer fifth.
The excited team lifted the trophy to huge applause amidst a final day of banging drums and flag waving that generated an electric atmosphere.
Head coach Darren Ashley's Warriors team for the final featured nine-year-olds Harvey Howard, Liam Briars, Sebastian Hampson, Alfie Gardener-Johnson, Zitong Yang, Amelia Gerrard, Ella Lawson, and Lexie Hughes; as well as 10-year-olds Thomas Hilton, Callum May, Gabriella Hunt, Rokia Farag and Isabella Thornton.
Eleven-year-olds in the mix were Ronnie Weall, Rhys Croasdale, Ava Vincent and Eve Wolfendale, alongside 12-year-olds Matthew Warburton, Ben Weall, Millie Duncan and Sophie Weston.
Warriors of Warrington have now won this competition for the past four years.
