ON current form, Bryson Goodwin is Super League’s best centre, so says his left-edge partner Tom Lineham.

The duo have formed a lethal partnership for The Wire, with both men reaching double figures for tries scored in 2018.

New Zealand international Goodwin is in fine fettle having scored seven tries in his past two outings, taking his tally for the season to 15 in all competitions.

Lineham, who himself has crossed 21 times this season, thinks he knows the key ingredient behind his partner’s red-hot form.

“Bryson’s so good in defence, and he gets so angry during games that he just wants to run over everyone!” the winger joked.

“I’ve got a great relationship with him. He’s killing it at the moment, so it’s fun times out on the left edge.

“Sometimes I look inside from the wing and think ‘where’s Bry?’ and he’s over on the other side of the field on a run.

“On form at the moment, you have to say he’s the best centre in Super League.

“He’s taken player of the week for us in the past two weeks and player of the month as well, so all hail Bryson!”

The pair look set to resume their partnership when a much-changed Wolves team travels to Wigan Warriors tomorrow, Friday.

Lineham says it is crucial to start building momentum heading into the Super League semi-finals.

“Everyone gets excited in Wigan Week. I love playing against them and it’s always a superb atmosphere,” he said.

“It’s important that we do everything right tactically in terms of game management.

“It’s about building momentum and everyone knowing their role going into the semi-finals.”
