STEVE Price has confirmed he will ring the changes for The Wire’s trip to Wigan Warriors on Friday, with a new half-back pairing and a senior debut in the pipeline.

Chris Hill and Tyrone Roberts will both be rested, while Kevin Brown will miss the game with an abductor muscle injury.

With Mike Cooper already ruled out through suspension, it means Warrington will line-up at the DW Stadium without both first-choice props and half-backs.

Dec Patton and Harvey Livett will start in the halves, while Price will hand second-rower Luis Johnson his senior debut off the bench.

"We’ve got a couple of players with niggles so they won’t play this week. Chris Hill won’t be playing, neither will Kev Brown and Tyrone Roberts," Price said.

"Kev just needs a week off. It's not a serious injury.

"There’s a few opportunities for other lads who have been doing a really good job and for Luis Johnson to make his senior debut.

"He will come onto the bench. It’s a really good opportunity for him.

"He’s played some really good, consistent football of late for our academy team.

"I’m happy to give Declan and Harvey an opportunity in the halves. It is a chance for them to show their worth in that role.

"They have both played there plenty of times over the years so it is nothing new to them."
