GREENALLS PSO ended a run of four straight defeats in the Cheshire League Premier Division on Saturday.

They came from a goal down to win 2-1 at Poynton, with Luke Fisher scoring Greens’ late winner after Mark Hughes’ looping header had levelled the scores.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Daten came away from Whaley Bridge with a 1-1 draw, with Michael Nutkins on target for the Atoms.

Eagle Sports shared six goals with Denton Town at Thornton Road, with Ged McAllister, Stuart Bruce and an own goal providing the home side’s goals.

In League One, Moore United and Orford lost both their games this week, with the former going down 4-0 at home to Styal on Tuesday following a 3-1 reverse against Garswood United on Saturday.

Orford’s 2-1 loss to Lostock Gralam was followed by a midweek defeat by the same score at Garswood.

Grappenhall Sports only had one game this week – at Blacon Youth on Saturday – but fared little better as they slipped to a 3-1 loss.

Rylands reserves played on Monday night in League Two but were beaten 4-3 by their Maine Road counterparts.
