Trafford 1 Warrington Town 2
IN their final friendly before the 2018-19 campaign gets underway, Warrington Town ensured they wrapped up pre-season in winning fashion.
Paul Carden's side were victorious against Trafford on Saturday, with new signing Robbie Evans on the scoresheet for Town.
It was just before half-time that Town got their breakthrough, when Evans' shot went straight through the hands of Trafford keeper Ed Wilczynski and into the net.
Yellows started the second half in a similar manner as they doubled their lead when a deep ball into the area was headed into his own net by Andy Langford.
Trafford did pull a goal back through Aaron Burns, but Warrington held on for victory.
The next time they take to the field, it will be against Farsley Celtic at Cantilever Park on Saturday in the opening game of their Evo-Stik Premier Division season.
