WARRINGTON Town have announced the signing of former Liverpool and England defender Jamie Carragher.
However, all is not quite as it seems.
The club tweeted the retired centre-half had joined the club and even included a picture of the Sky Sports pundit at their Cantilever Park ground.

It was all in jest, however, as Carragher was visiting the soccer school run in his name on the club's 4G pitch.
Manager Paul Carden even joked the 38-cap England international would not be an automatic choice!
He’ll have to fight for his place !!

While they may not have lured Carragher out of retirement, Town have secured another signing as they prepare for the new Evo-Stik Premier Division campaign.
