FORMER Warrington player Dave Brown has been named as one of the latest Rugby League Immortals.
Brown, who played for The Wire 93 times between 1937 and 1939 and captained Australia on six occasions, is one of three pre-war inductees announced at a gala dinner in Sydney today.
He is joined by Dally Messenger and Frank Burge as the first ever pre-war Immortals.
Brown joins Warrington-born Bob Fulton and ex-Wire half-back Andrew Johns in rugby league’s most exclusive club.
However Brian Bevan missed out on a spot.
Norm Provan and Mal Meninga were the final two legends to be added to the Immortals.
