WITH Super League’s regular rounds now at an end, the race to win the first ever Warrington Guardian player of the year award – as voted for by Guardian readers – is about to enter its next stage.

After every game this season, we have given you the chance to vote for your man of the match and you have responded magnificently.

We have devised a scoring system, with 10 points given to the weekly winner, five to second place and two to third place.

Those scores added up at the end of the season will give us our overall winner.

With that in mind, who would take home the award if the season ended now?

If that was the case, the prize would go to full-back Stefan Ratchford, who has totalled 78 points so far.

Daryl Clark is currently in second on 66 points, with Ben Westwood third on 38 points.

Mike Cooper and Bryson Goodwin are tied on 37 points – with the former just ahead on total votes – while Tyrone Roberts (32) is in close attendance as well
