Rochdale Mayfield A 29 Latchford Albion 24
DESPITE a barnstorming comeback, Latchford Albion left themselves too much to do on their travels.
Trailing 13-0 at the interval, Albion were already up against it when they conceded two tries early in the second half to trail by 23 points.
However, Adam Wadsworth finished off Stu Simm’s break to get Latchford on the board before George Briggs dummied his way over almost immediately after the restart.
Rochdale added another converted try to keep the visitors at arm’s length and lead 29-12 with 15 minutes left.
However, converted scores from Briggs and Chris Griffiths got Albion back to within one score of victory.
Despite pounding away at the Mayfield line, the Victoria Park side were unable to force their way over.
