Rylands Sharks 42 Bolton Mets 12
AFTER recovering from a poor start, Rylands Sharks dazzled in the Saturday sunshine at Gorsey Lane.
They brushed aside a game Bolton Mets side, who did take an early lead through Paul Leigh’s try.
However, once Chris Beddall and Kyle Cherratt had crossed in quick succession to give them the advantage, Rylands never looked back.
Jordan Paget had converted both the Sharks’ tries and added a penalty goal on the stroke of half-time, but the hosts really took command after the interval.
Casey Brown, twice, Carl Lloyd and Phil Risley all scored in the first 20 minutes of the second period, with Paget adding four conversions.
Rob Tuppen got Bolton on the board once again with time running out, but the game was Rylands’ and they had the last laugh as Cherratt crossed for his second try.
The result consolidates Rylands’ position in third place in North West Men’s League Division Five.
