VIDA Badminton Club teams enter 2018 in a strong position.
Sides will feature in day two of the Liverpool Junior League in April having laid down a marker in their opening three matches.
Vida, based at Orford Jubilee Hub, top the year 12, year 10 and year eight divisions.
Club spokesman Paul Hawgood said: “We should not be complacent, though, for the seeding means that our A teams’ tougher matches are on day two. This should, though, also mean that our B teams’ matches are a little easier.”
The year eight A team of Satwik Mallela, Saran Dhulipala, Conor Smith and Harry Avraam won their three matches 6-0 against Vida B, Fords C and Halewood.
Vida’s B team of Stel Avraam, Paco Li, Oliver Wang and Luv Goel also lost 4-2 to Fords B but beat Halewood 5-1 to be placed sixth at this stage.
A clean sweep of 6-0 wins was also registered by the year 10 A team of Adarsh Kumar, Sep Bazli, Emerson Reddy and Jack Ashcroft-Carter against SFX, Fords B and Vida B, who are made up of Troung Lu, Harry Nesbit, Sriram Subramanian, Ben Neale and also fell to Fords A 5-1 but defeated SFX 5-1 and Fords B 5-1 to sit fourth on the ladder.
Vida’s year 12 team of Adi Kumar, Mehak Singh, James Maffitt and Calum Gare defeated Wavertree 5-1, Lowton 6-0 and Anfield 5-1.
