RUBY Doherty continued her recent success on Saturday, claiming the overall title of North West under eights’ champion.

It follows winning the Cheshire and Merseyside title two weeks earlier.

Doherty took silver on the floor and another vault title on her way to being crowned top dog in her age group.

Her Wire Gymnastics Club teammates were also successful, with Niamh Aldridge named floor champion in the novice age nine category, and Madison Barrick crowned vault champion and bronze medallist overall in the same category.

Jasmine Wightman took bronze on the floor in the novice age 11 section, while Beth Giles won silver on floor, bronze on vault and bronze overall in the novice age 10 group.
