CARL Armitage and John Taylor won the Les Jones Invitation at St Oswalds.
They defeated Phil Davies and Alan Manuel 58-54 in the final of the two-person team competition.
The victors knocked out Charlie Bebbington and Larry Wells 59-45 in the semi finals, while Davies and Manuel disposed of Joe Stone and Chris Ashton 61-23.
Taylor defeated Davies 31-26 in the first match of the final to conclude, meaning Manuel had to run out from 28-26 ahead against Armitage, who snatched a single to seal the success.
