AN Olympic theme was played out during the annual Stockton Heath Walking Day on Saturday.
And the weather clearly got the message with plenty of sunshine to match the spirits of the walkers, young and old, who took to the streets for the walk.
Alexandra Park welcomed churches and schools from across the village on Saturday with proceedings taking an Olympian theme including a race for youngsters before the procession started.
And London Road was lined with shoppers who stopped to watch the many churches walking along.
The lead church, Hill Cliffe Baptist, is a fair trade church and as part of the walk's Olympic theme, members of their congregation distributed 150 Fair Play flags and 400 fair trade chocolate wafer biscuits to the watching crowds during the walk.
