CAR boot sales at Penketh Medical Centre have helped raise £630 for a future Paralympic hopeful.

Throughout the summer staff had been hoping to collect as much money as they could for 15-year-old Ben Callender to support his dream of becoming a Paralympian.

It adds to the Penketh teen's best summer season which also included being 'Highly commended' for 'Disabled sports achiever' by Warrington Borough Council and winning Warrington School Sports Partnership 'Disability sports personality of the year 2014'.

LiveWire have also awarded him an athlete training programme which means he will be allocated a personal trainer and he will attend four workshops within the year.
