CULCHETH'S new-look Post Office will be unveiled on October 16.

The Jackson Avenue branch shut its doors on Tuesday for a refurbishment.

This will include a quicker service with three counters, a new open plan layout and a change of hours with the Post Office set to open all day on Saturday.

As well as the usual mail services, customers will have access to bill payment, banking, benefits, travel money, home shopping returns and Local Collect services.

During the closure, Post Office services can be accessed from Locking Stumps Post Office in Glover Road or Birchwood Post Office, in Dewchurch Road.

Alan Currie, area manager, said: "This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future."

Culcheth Post Office reopens at 1pm on Friday, October 16.
