WARRINGTON residents are being encouraged to receive their coronavirus jab at the latest pop-up vaccination event.

The clinics have proved popular in recent weeks, with hundreds queuing for their vaccine at Safety Central in Lymm last Tuesday.

Two sessions will be run by Warrington’s vaccination team at Orford Jubilee Hub from 4pm to 6pm tomorrow, Wednesday, and the following Wednesday, June 30.

They are open to anyone aged 18 or over who has not already had their first Covid jab.

Dr Laura Mount, Warrington GP and clinical director of the Central and West Warrington Primary Care Network, encouraged people to take advantage of the service.

She said: “Owing to the success of our recent drop-in clinics, we want to make it as easy and convenient as possible for people in Warrington to get their jab.

Warrington Guardian:

“Our friendly team of vaccinators, clinic co-ordinators and volunteers will be administering first doses of the Covid vaccine at our Orford Jubilee Hub vaccination site to anyone aged 18 or over.”

Jabs will be given on a first come, first served basis and there will only be a limited number available.

Anyone who receives their jab on the day will be offered an appointment for their second vaccination back at Orford Jubilee Hub.

You will also have to be observed for 15 minutes after receiving your vaccination.

If you wish to receive your jab, please bring your NHS number with you. If you do not know your NHS number, you can find it on any appointment letter you may have received from the NHS, or online at nhs.uk/find-nhs-number.

If you are a nearby resident, please walk to the venue if possible.

This will include advice on weight management, blood pressure, stopping smoking, health walks, and getting back into exercise.

If you are unable to attend these sessions, there are other ways you can get vaccinated in Warrington.

Anyone aged 18 or over can book an appointment for their vaccine at Warrington Hospital.
