WARRINGTON'S empty Toys R' Us unit remains on the market – more than a year after the company's collapse.

The Gemini store closed in April last year after the nationwide collapse of the retailer.

Earlier this week FI Real Estate Management agreed the sale of five sites around the country which used to house the toy retailer.

The properties in Swindon, Doncaster, Coventry, Oxford and Peterborough sold for a total of £26 million to a mixture of retailers and local authorities.

The Warrington store is the only one in the north west still being listed for sale or rent by FIREM.
