A ROADSHOW is set to rocket into Warrington next week to discuss how the space industry can benefit the town.

Featuring a round table discussion, the Money in Space event has been organised by the European Space Agency and will highlight how space can benefit transport and logistics businesses.

Transport infrastructure will be of particular focus, as it is founded upon the communication of data.

With the addition of satellite technology in orbit, this can become far more reliable and allow for increased innovation opportunities.

Both infrastructure and vehicles alike will exchange large amounts of data allowing them to respond to changes instantaneously.

The conversation will be facilitated by the Downtown in Business consortium and will give the opportunity for networking and the chance to explore the potential for businesses to make money in space.

Also in attendance at the roadshow will be industry experts who will explain the opportunities available and how you can get involved.

Attendees will meet some of the people who have harnessed this opportunity and have gone on to make money in space.

Confirmed speakers include industry specialists, business leaders, members from the European Space Agency and representatives from the Northern Space Consortium.

The event is set to take place at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Tuesday.

Arrival time is at 11.45am for a 12pm start and running until 2pm with lunch served during the discussion.
