RESIDENTS have been able to sample a sandwich after Subway opened at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
The sandwich and salad franchise has taken over the former café area at the hub, which opened on Friday.
The move means the food and drink concession at Orford will be open for increased number of hours compared to the former café, creating 15 jobs and having seating for 30 people
A spokesman said the catering partnership comes as part of LiveWire’s commitment to provide healthy catering options for members.
There are also plans for Subway to open at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub.
Matt Parker, operations director at LiveWire, said: “We were really keen to work with a catering provider that offers a large variety of healthier options and Subway offers a wide selection of freshly-prepared sandwiches and salads.
“We’re particularly pleased that there will be extended hours of fresh food more in line with our opening hours – something we feel will greatly benefit everyone who uses the facilities at Orford.”
