A COLLABORATION space where members can share knowledge, source partners or work in a community environment is hosting its second open house following a successful initial event.

Opus, run by Carpe Diem, is a new digital co-working space situated in the Pyramid arts centre in the town centre.

Cannes’ award winners, Maker Projects will be running an interactive session covering the do’s and don'ts of video production.

The workshop is aimed at entrepreneurs or marketing and agency team members involved in commissioning or producing video for the web, social media or TV.

Bill Carr, CEO, said: “Our intention is to bring great speakers and panellists for Opus members to benefit from but also to provide access for the wider creative and technology community.

"That’s why we’ve made this event only £10 a ticket and free for Warrington Business Exchange members.

“We want Opus to become a destination for all innovators in the tech space but also a bridge between STEM agendas and the creative arts – from students to start ups, businesses to global vendors.

“Our last event had fabulous speakers – Ian Carroll of Solutioneers, Dr Amy McKee of HooAreYoo and Gareth Boldsworth of Creative Hut.

"So we’ve set a bar now we hope to surpass with each new Open House."

The last event in November attracted more than 120 delegates

Tickets for the event next Thursday, January 10 can be booked via www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/opus-open-house-makers-a-to-z-of-commissioning-great-video-content-tickets-53345887987.
