LOOKING for a job in journalism?

A rare opportunity has arisen for a trainee multimedia reporter to join the Warrington Guardian.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and enthusiastic with a positive attitude and a desire to be first with the news.

Based in our Warrington office, they will be expected to deliver a wide range of stories, live reports and videos to help continue to grow our popular newspapers, websites and social media platforms.

The position would ideally suit a graduate who is coming to the end of their NCTJ preliminary qualifications – including 100wpm shorthand - or a trainee reporter already working in a newsroom who would relish a fresh challenge.

A clean full driving licence is essential, as is the ability to work flexibly as required.

In return trainees are offered the chance to develop their skills in multimedia journalism and work towards the NQJ qualification.
