THE staff at an Altrincham provider of digital services have been celebrating after winning an international award at this week’s World IT Congress in Hyderabad, India.

Informed Solutions, which also has offices in London and Edinburgh and in the Australian cities of Melbourne and Sydney, was the only British Merit Award winner for Emerging Digital Solutions at the Global IT Excellence Awards.

The technology company, which is based at Old Market Place, is well known for its pioneering approach to building secure digital programmes, which are increasingly used by government to make services more accessible and user friendly.

Among its recent achievements is a project which has significantly increased public participation in the Boundary Commission for England electoral boundary review.

The firm has also provided online portals to enable easier access and less-stressful approaches for victims of violent crime and terrorism claiming compensation.

Informed Solutions’ UK chief executive officer Seth Finegan, who received the award said: "These awards are the Olympics of the high tech industry and to receive global recognition for the work we’ve done in improving government services and supporting digital inclusion is a fantastic achievement.

“Our aim, in designing digital platforms, is to ensure that more people have access to online services and that these are more humanised, so they are personalised and responsive.”

“This is a phenomenal event that brings together everyone, from Prime Ministers to ‘Sophia’, the world’s first robot citizen!”

Altrincham MP Sir Graham Brady said: “This is wonderful news. Informed Solutions is a dynamic international business based in Altrincham going from strength to strength. I am delighted that its vision has been recognised at the Global IT awards.”

Northern Powerhouse Minister Jake Berry said: “Pioneering Northern businesses such as Informed Solutions are receiving the international recognition they deserve at the Global ICT Excellence Awards while showing the UK, and the whole world, why the Northern Powerhouse is at the forefront of digital technology and innovation.”
