THE showpiece of World Wrestling Entertainment, Wrestlemania is undoubtedly the biggest event in the sports entertainment calendar.

This WWE package (WWF to older fans, but now WWE thanks to those wildlife busybodies) contains some great extras, most notably the Saturday Night Main Event show and the three-hour Hall of Fame ceremony featuring the induction of legends Eddie Guerrero and Bret Hart.

Elsewhere the bout between Mick Foley and Edge steals the show, along with an exhilarating Money In The Bank ladder match with great performances from Rob Van Dam and Shelton Benjamin.

No doubt some readers will be saying to themselves: "It's just grown men in tights pretending to fight - does he know it's not real?" at this point.

Well, guess what? Wrestling fans know it's not real, but appreciate the athleticism, melodrama and skill that goes into this unique part-sport/part-soap.

After all, we all know TV shows like EastEnders are fake, but it doesn't mean you can't enjoy them.

And personally I'd rather watch phenomenal athletes perform a staged fight than over-exuberant Cockneys talking about apples and pears or a bunch of Mancs moaning about the rain.
