PLANNING chiefs have given the go-ahead for an extension to be built in Walton despite objections from the parish council.
Although Walton Parish Council spoke against the single storey proposal at 7 Rosewood Farm, on Park Lane, borough councillors approved it.
Speaking at the development control meeting last Wednesday, parish councillor Bill Hardie said: "The rural character of this building should be maintained.
"We believe that this rear extension is not in harmony and would move that you refuse it on the basis that barn buildings should look like barn buildings."
