CELEBRATING its 31st year, the Parents and Friends’ Association at Penketh Community Primary School holds its annual bonfire night festivities on Saturday.
Hot food and fireworks from a professional team have attracted more than 1,800 people from Penketh and Great Sankey in the past with the money raising funds for the school PFA charity.
Lee Bradbury, PFA chairman, said: “Money raised in previous years has gone towards buying library books for the school and penguin waste bins for the infant playground.”
The bonfire will be held in the school grounds, off Stocks Lane, and gates open at 6.30pm.
Call the school for advanced ticket sales on 723719 or pay at the gate on the night.
Pre-paid adult tickets are £2.50, children £1.50 and pre-school children free or at the gate adult £3, children £2 and pre school free.
